Levi's sets new US$3000 Idea Bounty challenge

While the first Idea Bounty winner who will walk away with US$2500 from FNB will only be announced next week, the second Idea Bounty brief was announced yesterday, Wednesday, 10 December 2008 - Levi's jeans for a whopping US$3000.

Based on the principles of crowdsourcing, the recently launched Idea Bounty is a website that allows brands to post a brief asking for creative ideas and offer a reward (or bounty) for the best submission.

So what is Levi's Original Music looking for? With strong core values of authenticity, originality and youth spirit, this should be a brief to get those creative juices flowing and produce some fabulous ideas.

It wants you music junkies everywhere around the world to get back to basics and dig up the roots of live music festival culture. Using your own festival experiences, Levi's Original Music want ideas that represent its brand and adds value for the people who love music festivals. The short version: Help us shape how Levi's Original Music supports your passion for original music.

Comments Mike Leslie, innovation and sponsorship manager of Levi Strauss South Africa, “In a world where ideas really are the new currency, we were extremely excited about the prospects of tapping into a platform like Idea Bounty. Staying truly 'fresh' is a 365-day-a-year challenge and we're very clear that two of the secrets to achieving this are celebrating great ideas; and staying in touch with your consumers. What's great about Idea bounty is it does both.”
