AMASA changes its image

The Advertising Media Association of South Africa (AMASA) has unveiled its new corporate image designed by Artifact. Rob Smuts, AMASA chairperson, says: "We needed an invigorating and more contemporary look and our new logo embodies these factors."

Continued Smuts: "It effectively captures the essence of our brand as AMASA is about the industry joining hands in improving education and commitment in the media field. We believe our logo successfully captures our modus operandi, concisely communicating our positioning."

Added motivation behind AMASA's re-branding are the vast changes within the media landscape, combined with the multiplicity of media options available since the original logo was designed.

The industry has evolved tremendously since AMASA's inception in the 1970's, and the intention was to create a CI in line with current trends and needs of the market. The new logo symbolises a friendly yet professional organisation that is for industry members, encouraging them to get involved and become active ambassadors in their respective fields.

"AMASA is about equipping the industry with relevant knowledge and skills to allow more proficient skills transfer, and not only to those starting out in the industry, we would like to see the more seasoned professionals supporting AMASA too," concludes Smuts.
