Honda: ‘Drive every drop'

New best friend's, Weiden + Kennedy London, turned to Not To Scale and Directors National TV to help create the launch film for the new Honda ‘Drive Every Drop' digital campaign supporting Honda's new i-VTEC super efficient engine.

The website, www.driveeverydrop.com invites visitors to sponsor a road trip across Asia in a Honda powered by the new engine with each visitor to the website adding a drop of petrol towards the journey, thus forcing visitors to consider the environmental value of making petrol use much more efficient and the value of every individual drop as opposed to gallons, barrels and tankfulls.

Animation all-rounders National TV were asked to squeeze a mini-road trip across Asia onto a single rotating drop of petrol. It sounded complicated at the outset but methodical and fruitful collaboration with W+K regarding the content and planning of what might appear on the drop, meant National TV could then do what they do best and turn a demanding brief into a seemingly effortless and delightful film.

The animation was turned around in record breaking time - 10 very long days and nights. Credit is also due to Hear No Evil which worked quickly and efficiently to turn around the music brief.
