The report, released this morning, Wednesday, 5 October 2011, is the official guide to the rankings from the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and is described as a "a must-have for any agency wishing to understand their industry and their performance within it".
In 2009, in the inaugural report, SA also made it to 13th place in the overall country rankings, and Johannesburg was ranked 10th in terms of most creative cities. South Africa did not appear to feature in any top twenties in the 2010 report.
SA agencies also performed highly this year, with Net#work BBDO Johannesburg winning the Radio Grand Prix and being named the top radio agency overall, while Grey South Africa in Johannesburg having taken eighth place in the radio listings. M-Net's David Everson and Tamar Retter picked up Silver awards in the Young Lions competition, too.
