CineMARK Reel Awards announces first winners

The winners have been announced for the first CineMARK Reel Awards - a quarterly event recognising ad campaigns that have made creative and effective use of cinema.

CineMARK has launched the Reel Awards to pay tribute to ad campaigns screened throughout the country that have creatively and effectively made use of cinema, including interactive cinema campaigns, foyer advertising and on screen advertising.

The winners of the first CineMARK Reel Awards are:

  • TBWA Hunt Lascaris for the Black Cat Peanut Butter ad - Art Class.

  • TBWA Hunt Lascaris for the Savanna ad campaign featuring two ads entitled Unhappy Hour Blues and Joke.

  • Network BBDO for the Cell C campaign featuring - Lucky Guy, Girls on bus, Watching TV.

    Three winning entries are chosen per quarter resulting in 9 quarterly winners for the year. Each quarterly winning entry will then be considered as a finalist for the overall award to be judged early next year prior to the Cannes International Advertising Festival, with the overall award-wining entry receiving an all inclusive trip to Cannes for two members of the victorious team compliments of CineMARK.
