Wesley Petersen has been appointed sports editor for Primedia Broadcasting, Cape Town.

Petersen joined the 94.5 Kfm news team for a one-year internship in 1999 while completing his journalism studies at Pentech, now known as the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. He was offered a job soon afterwards covering news as well as drive time sport. When the station became a part of the Primedia Broadcasting group in 2006, Petersen took on the challenge of reporting for 94.5 Kfm as well as sister station 567 CapeTalk and carved out a niche for himself as a sports reporter.
