Fairlady magazine has appointed seasoned Durban-based journalist Wendy Knowler as a Specialist Writer.
Wendy has over 20 years experience as a newspaper journalist and has built an impressive reputation as a consumer, motoring and investigative journalist. In 2003, Wendy was awarded national Vodacom Journalist of the Year for a domestic worker's feature published in Fairlady. Most recently Wendy has been concentrating on consumer issues penning a weekly column, Consumer Watch, in The Daily News, The Star, The Pretoria News and the Cape Argus. Wendy has also followed a tandem career as a motoring journalist and for the past four years has been writing a weekly column, Wheel Woman, published in several Independent Newspapers' motoring supplements and on the IOL website.
Aside from adding a reflection of issues, places and people from the KZN region, Wendy will contribute articles for Fairlady's Consumer section and a regular motoring page and will also take over the Health portfolio.
Wendy will continue to record the popular weekly consumer radio programme, Consumer Watch, with East Coast radio, which was initiated in January 2004.
