In an effort to support the exercise to green our communities, implementing agencies of the Community Work Programme (CWP), Seriti Institute and Teba Development are leading a month-long initiative to plant in excess of 40 000 indigenous trees in over 36 CWP sites across the country. Some of these saplings will include fruit trees to provide sustenance for the communities in years to come. During these planting sessions, the CWP teams will promote an understanding amongst community members of the important role that trees play in sustainable development.
