e.tv's sunday evening viewing
I was horrified to tune into e.tv this week and find them running this show at such an early hour (around 6pm or so). I can't remember the name but it's a show on real life murder cases and they show quite graphic images of crime scenes. This week showed images of a family murdered by their father, and I caught a glimpse of an earlier show with police footage of women who had been raped and murdered. I distinctly remember an image of a young woman, dead, and naked except for a short top.
While this show is definitely entertaining for the forensic investigations, it is terribly graphic, and involves real murders, but unlike all the other fictional crime dramas that are quite graphic as well, is smacked down in family viewing time.
Any reason for this bad programming decision e.tv?
Certainly something light-hearted and less of an adult nature for early Sunday viewing?
I will be making a complaint with the BCCSA over this. There are probably too many people who let their kids watch this graphic show, using the manic logic that violence is ok but sex isn't.
