eNuus to launch soon
Yesterday, Thursday, 1 July 2001, eNews announced its new Afrikaans news division, eNuus, which will provide a news service to kykNET as an extension of the 'e' brand, falling under the management and editorial control of eNews.
Andries Cornelissen who has been appointed news editor will lead it, with veteran journalist Freek Robinson as the main anchor of the bulletin and the rest of the team including LiMari Louw, Genee Heyl, Anina Peens. Jean-Paul Keyter and Francois Nolte will handle sports news.
Patrick Conroy, group head eNews Division says, "The team will begin training on the operating systems and get to know their colleagues on the company's Prime Time, Channel and Africa slots, which form the other divisions of the news company."
Its launch date is still to be confirmed and staff are now focusing on training and rehearsals.
