"With the worldwide economic slump far from over and new demands in terms of technology and creative thinking, we have to change our approach to business. This congress will help delegates do exactly that," says congress chairperson, Wayne Johnson of SAACI's Northern Territories Branch.
Themed 'Shifting Paradigms', the congress will focus on how to adapt to the changing environment so that businesses can prosper and grow.
Johnson says the congress committee, made up of representatives of the different sub-sectors of the conference industry, is hard at work to make it a benchmark event.
"SAACI members have already received correspondence requesting input in terms of congress topics and speakers, so that we devise a programme that is topical and relevant, with take-home value. Members can send us their input online by completing a special form on the congress website."
The conference is open to anyone with an interest in the conference industry - including venue owners and managers, professional conference organisers, corporate marketing and event professionals, event planners, public relations practitioners and suppliers of products and services. Early bird registration closes on 4 May.
