Online information completes Fairlady's Test House offering

The Fairlady Test House, which provides users with advice, ratings and information to help them make informed decisions when buying their next appliance, gadget or food product, has gone online.

"We know that readers spend a lot of time online looking for product information, but despite all the online 'information' available, there is a scarcity of real and trusted local content," says Fairlady editor Suzy Brokensha.

"This site acts as a credible filter, providing valuable information based on 22 years of hard work, in which we have tested products and commented fairly on them, to establish a key level of trust with our readers. This history of providing reliable information and reviews that are credible, honest and fair, means our online users know they are getting information they can trust when they visit the site."

Sections

The site is divided into sections. Consumer news offers a round-up of consumer information, tips and news such as how to turn your phone into your wallet, a summary of the new Consumer Protection Act and how it serves you, amongst other things.

There's also a useful stockist directory. Other sections include Appliances, Electronics, Home and Garden, Kitchen, Food and Beverage.

Test House editor Sally Kramer, adds, "Taking cognisance of readers' constant interaction on social media platforms, as well as the power of word-of-mouth, we have also created a My Test House section, where consumers and readers can interact with each other, ask questions and get peer reviews and answers."
