World's most advanced interactive sms now in South Africa

Marketers in South Africa can now access the world's most powerful and flexible interactive text messaging facility. Launched by Start Corporation South Africa, the system is already market leader in much of the United States and Europe, and in Australasia and Malaysia.

Known as 'intelligent messaging', Start's system is web-based. This means clients can access the message platform 24/7/365 and create and transmit an sms campaign using their own computer or laptop whenever they like. Once a licence has been acquired, there are no ongoing set up costs and no delays.

The technology empowers the client to create and manage databases, run direct marketing campaigns, conduct basic research, add a text channel to call centres, improve revenue collections and so on.

Incoming text messages can be converted to email or fax and sent to the appropriate work station for action.

The standard marketing module requires no IT involvement and no capex, so the set up and training is complete in a couple of hours.

More sophisticated applications, such as the Qantas express check in at Sydney airport, require back end integration but, as Start's system is Microsoft compliant, this is usually fairly routine.

Global clients include Nestle, Pizza Hut, Domino's, Volvo, Qantas, News Corporation, Fox Television, Novotel, Subaru, International Liquor Group and Oracle.
