The candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Maintain the IT infrastructure at SACAP
• Maintain the disaster recovery site
• Perform testing on the applications at the Disaster recovery site
• Providing 2nd and 3rd-level support to the Helpdesk and core infrastructure software and hardware technologies/platform to ensure and maintain 100% uptime
• Support users on complex e-mail queries
• Maintain the infrastructure integrity of the organisation
• Maintain e-mail security of the organisation
• Manage permissions and access to systems for users
• Support and assist with IT and business projects as required
• Conduct research into the latest trends and products in the infrastructure space
• Ensure that the latest technologies are communicated to the relevant people
• Develop and maintain relationships with all individuals below management level as a trusted IT advisor
• Maintain strong working relationships with and have open and transparent communication between all members of the IT team
• Manage network connectivity, including Wireless and LAN
• Install and configure operating systems
• New accounts set up and active directory administration
• Ensure protection and maintenance of the network against viruses
• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
• Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
• Providing remote assistance to end-users using desktop applications, chat features, emails, and phone assistance to employees
• Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues remotely to help end-users

Requirements

• Matric/ Grade 12 or equivalent.
• IT Degree/Diploma or relevant experience essential
• CompTIA A+N+ essential
• MCSE preferable
• Minimum of 5 years experience in an IT environment, with proven experience in system and server management
• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft environment

In this position, you will be reporting to the SNR Manager Organisational Performance and ICT
