Fixer Marketing Solutions is a strategically driven micro creative agency with offices in Paarl. Our work focuses on sport, culture and social impact spaces. Fixer's work spans research, brand strategy, corporate identity, FMCG marketing support and general commercial design and branding application. Many of our projects focus on strategy and creative development and much of our work is focused on print. We are brand stewards for multiple global and Pan African brands including USAID, The Global Fund, SNV, The Chelsea Group, Save The Children.

We believe the best creative happens in an environment that celebrates the open exchange of ideas. Our offices work together fluidly as a single entity, allowing us to leverage our best minds at key moments. This versatility allows us to take on diverse projects that challenge us creatively and keep our work exciting. We would require a minimum of three days per week in the office with the other two days working remotely.

Fixer Marketing Solutions is currently seeking a versatile and talented mid-weight designer for their Paarl office. As part of the team this person will assist the creative lead and/or creative director with all phases of work including research, concept exploration, design development and finalisation. They are responsible for creating and executing high quality design concepts and maintaining brand continuity. We are looking for someone who is multifaceted with experience in rich media content creation, branding and identity development.

Responsibilities:

• Act as design guardian for clients’ brands ensuring colour, type and visual equities follow brand standards
• Provide fresh thinking, strong ideas and a high level of craftsmanship across all elements of design
• Have a good understanding of the creative process from brief to production
• Organise and maintain design files and master assets as needed
• Maintain the agency’s standards of creative excellence, timeliness and profitability
• Support the team when managing external specialists e.g. illustrators, visualiser
• Help to maintain an atmosphere of inspiration and collaboration

Our ideal candidates will:

• Have min five years’ agency experience (including some experience with FMCG packaging, branding and identity) with a strong portfolio to match
• Bachelor's degree / diploma in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field
• Have a passion for strong ideas, that answer clients challenges in a uniquely creative way
• Take pride in crafting the finest detail
• Be able to talk passionately and knowledgeably about the work
• Be a self-starting, multifaceted designer who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and clients
• Hold a degree in graphic design or similar and be well versed in key Adobe software (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)

Remuneration R20,000 per month on fixed contract basis.
