A media agency based in Lonehill, Johannesburg, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven advertising sales executive to join our team, focusing on generating revenue through the sale of advertising space and conference attendance. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, call centre and telesales experience and the ability to effectively cold call potential clients.
Responsibilities:
Conduct outbound cold calls to prospective customers using a provided list of leads.
Introduce our products/conferences to potential clients and highlight their benefits.
Engage in consultative selling to understand customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
Effectively communicate product features, pricing, and promotions to generate interest and close sales.
Collaborate with team members and sales management to achieve individual and team targets.
Sales reporting and analysis:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities in the CRM system.
Provide regular reports on sales performance, key metrics, and market trends.
Analyse sales data to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
Requirements:
Three-plus years of experience in sales, with a focus on cold calling and telesales.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, target-driven environment.
Familiarity with CRM software and call centre technology.
Strong negotiation and objection-handling abilities.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to sales.
Media advertising sales or insurance call centre experience will be advantageous.
