Please note:

• This role is for 30 - 40 hours a month (part-time).

We are looking for a Senior Web Designer who will take responsibility for shaping our website's and clients' digital experiences. Your primary focus will be to create intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the user journey and optimise lead conversions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality design solutions that align with business objectives. This is a part-time, remote position requiring 30 - 40 hours per month.

Your responsibilities

• Advise on the best user journey approach for website changes, utilising both scientific research and your professional experience to ensure optimal lead conversion and user satisfaction.
• Design and prototype responsive web interfaces that are both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional across various devices.
• Work closely with developers and the marketing team to translate business goals into user-centric designs.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and A/B testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
• Analyse user behaviour and engagement metrics to inform design improvements and iterations.
• Ensure consistency in design language and visual elements across all platforms, adhering to brand guidelines.
• Identify and troubleshoot UX problems, using innovative thinking and design principles to propose effective solutions.

Requirements

• 5 years of UI/UX design experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing complex web design projects, focusing on optimising user journeys and conversions, ideally for high-traffic websites
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Ability to back design decisions with scientific research or previous job experience.
• Experience with user journey mapping and conversion rate optimization.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
• South African citizen or holds Permanent Residency.
