Responsibilities
- Pitch concepts internally and externally – to staff and to clients.
- Strategy – create account strategies and ways to increase client satisfaction and retention.
- Support clients strategically by demonstrating exceptional service and support in advance of need.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of client business needs, develop proposals for clients’ products and services and communicate how these value added solutions will address those needs.
- Actively research and monitor the market and competitive landscape providing recommendations for company differentiation and strategic decision making.
- Project management – be able to manage client projects from beginning to end in line with agreed client plans and objectives.
- Ensure that client reverts are managed well internally with specific emphasis on timelines and deadlines.
- Establish goals and objectives for internal teams to follow.
- Meet deadlines and effectively manage project budgets.
- Work with teams to develop content, coordinate events and provide support and direction.
- Motivate and mentor staff to hit goals and produce successful materials for clients.
- Maintain relationships and serve as the point of contact and liaison for customers.
- Provide feedback on all collaborative projects.
- Experience: Minimum five years digital account management experience with at least one year as an account director; bachelor’s degree in business management/marketing/public relations is required.
- Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive under pressure. Strong communication skills - both verbal and non-verbal. Strong research and presentation skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities. Excellent time management. Strong leadership skills. Negotiation skills.
- Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, comfortable with various online project management tools, and digital platforms.
- Qualities: Attention to detail, the capability to maintain discretion and confidentiality, and flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of a fast-growing organisation. Proactive with the ability to work independently.
- Advantageous: Digital agency experience and experience on large scale multinational brands and/or in FMCG would be advantageous.
- Inherent: Valid SA drivers licence and own car. No criminal record.
