Simon Clarke is director of IBIS Consulting. He has 15+ years of experience in the areas of corporate sustainability and climate change and has worked in South Africa, Mozambique, Malawi, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, United Kingdom and Australia.
Clarke's experience has been in helping clients develop integrated corporate sustainability and climate change strategies focused on practical business outcomes. He has assisted clients in a range of activities including executive training and communication on sustainability and climate change, quantifying greenhouse gas inventories, developing and verifying systems to report sustainability data and identifying energy, carbon, water and waste reduction opportunities.
Clarke has worked with large corporates in the fields of mining and metals, oil and gas, telecommunications, finance and retail, as well as working with government and NGOs. He has a BSc. Hons Degree and a Masters in Environment and Development through the University of Natal. He is a trained ISO 14001 environmental auditor, a registered Professional Natural Scientist and has an Advanced Certificate in Project Management. Until October 2015, Clarke was a partner and practice lead of the Sustainability and Climate Change practice at ERM.
