Independent research and marketing consultancy, imagineNATION Alliance, recently conducted research into consumer understanding of online tools available for the property search process and found the following:

  • Of the 646 respondents, 80% of consumers are choosing online as their primary way of searching for property. 63% of people said that they prefer using property portals than estate agent or other property websites or newspapers, showing how dramatically technology has influenced the entire process of purchasing a new property for consumers.
  • Property24.com was seen to be the best property portal by nearly 60% of respondents.
