Leading digital media sales agency, The SpaceStation, has confirmed that, effective 1 October 2013, they will no longer represent ESPN digital properties in South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya. The decision was reached after a mutual agreement with both parties.

Commenting on the announcement, The SpaceStation's CEO, Gustav Goosen, expressed his gratitude to ESPN for affording them the opportunity to represent an established sporting brand such as ESPN. He stated that this change will allow The SpaceStation to focus their sports offering on SuperSport and Sport24. They are both leading digital sporting destinations in sub-Saharan Africa with a combined local Unique Browser base of over 1.4 million South Africans (August 2013).

This announcement follows earlier changes announced by DStv about the addition of SS9 when ESPN ceased broadcasting in Africa.
