On 28 February, the Motul RC Raceway at Zwartkops, Pretoria, hosted the first round of the 2021 RCX Championship and the warm-up to the National Series. The Zwartkops track was open for both amateurs and South Africa's top RCX competitors in this motorsport. The format of the 2021 RCX Championship sees participants compete in three, six-minute qualifying rounds followed by a main race lasting from 30 to 45 minutes. BMW announced that its all-new 128ti model will be launched in South Africa on Monday, 1 March. Ford Motor Company's philanthropic arm, Ford Motor Company Fund, has strengthened its commitment to road safety by providing funding for the ChildSafe Pedestrian Safety Programme. Audi has launched its facelifted RS 4 Avant and RS 5 model ranges (Sportback and Coupé). The new models feature a sporty interior with the new MMI touch operating system and a high-torque twin-turbo V6 engine with a power output of 331kW applies an impressive 600Nm of torque in both model ranges. Audi has revealed a refreshed version of the high-performance R8 V10 sports car as Coupé and Spyder models and hosts an even sharper design. The 5.2 FSI in the Audi R8 V10 performance quattro offers 449kW, with a peak torque of 560Nm, allowing the Coupé to sprint to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, and the Spyder to reach 100km/h 3.3 seconds. Toyota Motors Europe has unveiled the C-HR GR Sport inspired by it's performance-focused GR models. The model, first launched in 2016 has had an impact on the C-SUV segment, recording a sale of 120,000 units in its first year Europe.
