It has been 50 years since Hans-Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher started Mercedes-AMG in Affalterbach. Since 1967, the company has continually shown growth and development in the sports car and motorsport sectors and, in 2016, the company grew by over 40% and delivered 100,000 vehicles.
