On 22 February, a sultry and steaming hot thirty degree Friday, saw teams of media owner marketing and executive staff taking on each other in Gordon Patterson and team's version of extreme sports.
Ten different challenges awaited them, including two demanding timed climbs – one up the back of a twenty metre high inflatable water slide to scream all the way down the other side and the other a three sided rock wall. Scary stuff for some, like the writer who ducked participating on the grounds my camera gear would be damaged, and for others, they abseiled down as if it was a daily occurrence.
Who won? Who cares – everyone won with a fantastic afternoon of fun and partying as Starcom said, “Thank you media owners – you make our tasks satisfying.”
