Princess Charlene of Monaco hosted a special cocktail function in Sandton on 21 April 2017 to highlight the work her foundation does in preventing drowning. The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation was founded to raise public awareness about the dangers of water and teaches children preventive measures and how to swim.

Shoprite and Checkers have been treating previously disadvantaged children to special Easter egg hunts in the lead up to the holiday.

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa employees launched the Soul Ambassadors Movement in Polokwane at the Mohlakaneng High School. The Soul Ambassadors spent their day helping out at the high school by distributing meals during lunch, cleaning, washing pots and also helping the school cooks with preparation for the following day's meal.

As part of its CSI, the GrandWest Casino and Entertainment World embarked on a school stationery project for disadvantaged learners at the Easter Peak Primary School in Manenberg. Learners were presented with their new stationery as the new academic year began arming the Easter Peak learners with their required tools to take on some learning.

Vodacom has pledged its support to the Gift of Vision programme along with the Western Cape health department and the Health Foundation. Marking the end to a public CSI drive to help a child “Share in the Magic” of the festive season, the Cresta Shopping Centre donated 874 Mickey and Minnie Mouse plush toys to the SOS Children's Village at an event held in Ennerdale, Gauteng. An additional R21,796 was also donated to the centre, who, in collaboration with The Walt Disney Company Africa, kicked off the initiative on 1 December 2016....

The Milpark Education staff recently raised funds for the Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital paediatric ICU, the largest ICY for children in Africa. The private higher education donated a total of R20,000 to the appeal for donations, with Julian van der Westhuizen, Milpark Education CEO, matching this amount.
