Advertising is a creative field yet students are still taught to follow one specialised discipline (copywriting, art directing, etc). Can creative people not be creative across a variety of disciplines?
If I can come up with concepts, decide on how they'll look, do the photography myself, write the copy myself and design the final product why shouldn't I? Why is it necessary to remain a specialist in an ad agency? At least my personal influence will be strong resulting in something unique.
