Additionally, the candidate will manage the household operations and supervise other staff members, ensuring a smooth and efficient home environment. Key responsibilities:Care duties:- Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
- Monitor and administer medication as prescribed.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if necessary.
- Conduct regular health checks and report any changes in the client’s condition to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Provide companionship and engage in activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Assist with physiotherapy exercises as recommended by healthcare professionals.
- Operate and manage medical machinery or devices as needed, ensuring proper usage and maintenance.
Household management:- Oversee the daily operations of the household, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness.
- Supervise and coordinate the duties of other household staff, such as cleaners, gardeners, and cooks.
- Manage household supplies and inventory, including grocery shopping and ordering medical supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of household expenses and assist with budgeting.
- Ensure the home is secure and well-maintained, coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.
Administrative duties:- Utilise computer skills for various tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing emails, and keeping digital records.
- Assist the cancer patient with correspondence and other basic computer-related tasks.
- Maintain a detailed log of daily activities, care provided, and any incidents or observations.
Qualifications and skills:- Certification in Nursing, Healthcare, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a carer for cancer patients, preferably as a live-in carer.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with email, scheduling software, and basic data entry.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Skilled in operating and managing medical machinery or devices.
