Job description:

Responsibilities:

Fabrication and welding:

Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to engineering specifications.
Utilise welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding, to join metals with precision.

Repair and maintenance:

Conduct repairs and maintenance on metal equipment, machinery, and structures.
Perform routine inspections to identify and address potential issues.

Blueprint interpretation:

Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and other specifications.
Ensure accurate measurements and alignment of components during fabrication and repairs.

Safety compliance:

Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.
Implement safety measures during fabrication, welding, and other job-related tasks.

Material selection:

Select appropriate materials for fabrication and repairs based on project requirements.
Manage and organise an inventory of materials and tools.

Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with other team members, including engineers and maintenance personnel.
Communicate effectively with supervisors to provide progress updates and discuss project specifications.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Boilermaker or in a similar metal fabrication role.
Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Physical strength and stamina to handle the demands of the job.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications in metal fabrication and welding are preferred.
Experience with gates, staircases and carports
