Academic Navigator (Lecturer): Digital Design (Part-Time)

The IIE’s Vega, Cape Town Campus has a vacancy for a Part-Time Academic Navigator (Lecturer) for the second semester in the following module:

• Digital Design Technology 3B and
• Digital Design Technology 2B

Job Purpose:

• Lecture based on provided content, ensure students are guided and supported in their learning. Mark student submissions and engage with campus teaching and learning.

Key Performance Areas:

• Prepare for lectures based on provided content.
• Supplement content with own expertise.
• Deliver assigned modules to the stated outcomes and contracted hours.
• Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback. Support student academic success by implementing workshops where needed. 
• Perform academic admin, such as capturing assessment marks and reporting on student success.
• Provide content feedback. Engage with professional development opportunities and attend initial training sessions

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• Honours Degree / Masters in a Design field, such as Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, or Digital Arts PLUS Professional Portfolio to illustrate expertise in 3D animation software such as Blender, 3DS Max or Maya and Adobe Creative Cloud software​

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

• Intermediate to advanced skills in 3DS Max and Adobe Creative Cloud Software, with experience in 3D animation
• Minimum 2 year’s experience in Digital Media is required
