Solar Installation Electrician (IE)
Please Note: This position requires an individual who is a qualified IE to issue COC for Single Phase Solar Installations.The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, solar technology and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to their clients.
Key responsibilities:- Perform solar panel installations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and electrical codes.
- Issue Certificates of Compliance (COCs) for completed installations.
- Work on both single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair solar PV systems, including inverters, charge controllers and batteries.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to complete installations on time and within budget.
- Provide technical expertise and support to team members and clients regarding solar energy systems.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance and repairs.
- Conduct quality inspections and maintain accurate installation records.
Requirements: - Electrician trade test.
- Valid wireman's license and must be registered as an Installation Electrician (IE)
- Must be able to issue Certificates of Compliance (COCs)
- Working experience as a solar installation electrician or similar role.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and architectural drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record.
