A leading technology company is seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps engineer to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg. This is a permanent position, offering a hybrid work model that combines the flexibility of remote work with the benefits of in-office collaboration.
Key responsibilities:- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software development processes.
- Develop and maintain containerized applications using Docker.
- Orchestrate and manage Kubernetes clusters for efficient application deployment and scaling.
- Utilise Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC) to automate and manage cloud resources.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software.
- Monitor and optimise system performance, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the DevOps environment.
Requirements:- Proven experience in DevOps engineering with a strong focus on cloud technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipeline tools and best practices.
- Proficiency in Docker for containerisation.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to a hybrid work model.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in DevOps, cloud technologies, or related areas are a plus.
