Who are we: A business-to-business publishing house focusing on trade publications.

Who we are looking for: A talented and detail-oriented editor with a strong background in the news industry.

What will you do:
  • Review, edit, and proofread content for grammar, style, and accuracy.
  • Ensure all content adheres to the company's editorial guidelines and tone.
  • Collaborate with writers and content creators to improve the clarity and impact of the material.
  • Manage the production schedule and ensure timely delivery of all content.
  • Fact-check articles, ensuring that all information is accurate and properly sourced.
  • Work closely with the design and marketing teams to produce engaging and visually appealing content.
  • Ensure consistency in style, tone, and quality across all platforms (web, print, social media, etc.).
  • Stay updated on trends in the industry to ensure content relevance and competitiveness.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to junior writers or content contributors.
  • Maintain and update editorial style guides as needed.
What will you need:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a news environment is essential.
  • Proven experience as an editor, with a strong portfolio of edited works.
  • Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar and punctuation.
  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for improving content structure and readability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and SEO best practices is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively.
  • Knowledge of digital media platforms, including social media, blogs, and newsletters.
  • Experience working with design software or familiarity with layout and formatting is an advantage.
