NAB heads into Swaziland
While an independent country, economically, Swaziland co-exists with South Africa and the ability to communicate with residents in its commercial nodes is vital to Swaziland and SA businesses. According to Gill Randall, joint MD of NAB, these two Swaziland newspapers deliver advertisers the most economically active of the 1.2 million population - the 155 000 people who have income to purchase relevant advertised products
"An incredible 75% of Swaziland residents read a newspaper every week and local newspapers dominate the Swaziland newspaper market. The Times of Swaziland is at the top of the list, read by 68% of residents, followed by The Times Sunday at 46%."
The Times of Swaziland is a daily newspaper with a print order of 24 000 (Mondays and Saturdays) and 23 000 (Tuesdays to Fridays) with an estimated readership of 114 000 people. The Times Sunday is a Sunday paper with a print run of 23 000.
"Swaziland is a small land locked country of 17 000 square kilometres - only 33% of its people live in urban areas - so it's important to identify the right people, target them effectively and ensure brand awareness through continued advertising," comments Randall.
