KZN to host inaugural World Club ProAm

With less than a month to go to the tee-off of the inaugural World Club ProAm in KwaZulu-Natal, the province has once again set the stage for hosting world-class golfing events as the PGA of South Africa makes its announcement of the five selected KZN championship courses that will host this prestigious international tournament.
KZN to host inaugural World Club ProAm

CEO of the PGA of South Africa, Ivano Ficalbi, says 90 holes of championship golf will be played across Durban Country Club, Zimbali Country Club, Cotswold Downs Golf Course, Umhlali Country Club and Princes Grant Golf Estate. "These courses have been selected based on their ability to provide the tournament with a world-class PGA golfing experience that is made up of breath-taking coastal scenery, magnificent topography and the province's natural flora and fauna and wildlife. We are confident that each golfer will relish in an unforgettable golfing experience over the five days of play in KZN."

The World Club ProAm takes place from 15-22 February and the event will see golf clubs from around the world, PGA professionals and amateur golfers coming together to compete for the inaugural World Club ProAm title. The tournament is set to become a highlight on the international golfing calendar with a total prize and appearance fee fund of US$350 000 (that includes a minimum US$1 000 appearance fee) and a unique format of 90 holes of combined individual Stableford championship for the professionals and a ProAm 4-ball alliance for the team.
