Events & Conferencing Company news South Africa

SA event company produces its first offshore events

South African parties, events and experiences company, Loudfire has successfully concluded the production of its first overseas events. The events took place in Mauritius the week before last week and took the form of three themed evening parties for a prominent South African company.

Comments Paul Sainsbury, Sales Director of Loudfire and the person responsible for coordinating the Mauritius parties: "It was extremely gratifying to see the characteristic Loudfire Bedouin-style freeform tents gracing the beaches of the island and the spectacular lawns of a top Mauritius hotel. A foreign commission on this scale represents a big breakthrough for a South African born and bred company such as ours."

Each of the three parties were conceptualised by Loudfire with its client, and Loudfire provided the tents, décor, and styling for each event. The themes explored a variety of different vibes, from the genteel sophistication of a 'White Night' where everything including the giant Bedouin tent was white, to the rebel-rousing excitement of a Cuban Havana Nightclub, and the laid-back island charm of a Rastafarian Reggae party.

Sainsbury adds: "The undertaking was extremely challenging from a logistical point of view. Everything had to be planned in even greater, more painstaking detail than we normally do. There was very little that we could hire from Mauritian suppliers, so all our own tents and décor elements were shipped via containers to Mauritius. As a result, we had to be extremely careful not to forget a single item behind and everything we took over to Mauritius, had to be returned by container to avoid any customs difficulties. The language barrier was another challenge all together.

The parties were hugely successful and Loudfire and its client were both immensely pleased with the result.
