Unplugged, started by Rick and Sue Melvill in late 2002, focuses specifically on creating alternative and innovative internal communications solutions for clients. In 2004 the partnership was joined by Thandi Davids at which time the company extended its client offerings to include consumer focused communications solutions and in the process extended the company's empowerment credentials.
The company has been building its creative reputation with large scale communications solutions for clients such as Standard Bank, Cell C, Volkswagen and Anglo American and won five Loeries (including 3 Golds) in 2004 - the first year that it entered the awards.
