Consumer wine show ups 2007 ante

Following upon the success of this year's inaugural Jo'burg Wine Show, plans for the 2007 show are underway, revealing growth well ahead of the event. With eight months still to go, show organisers have confirmed that the 2007 show will be double the size of the inaugural event and, to date, have sold approximately 60% of available stand space on an increased floor plan.

"We are absolutely delighted with the immediate and positive response from the industry, following our inaugural show just three months ago," says show organiser Barney Essenhigh. "The remarkable sales for the 2007 show are not just the result of existing customers re-booking early for prime positions. Many new wineries have come onboard and there has been a significant increase in the average stand size being purchased. This serves as cast-iron proof that the Jo'burg Wine Show has delivered something truly innovative and worthwhile to the domestic market."

The show will once again take place at Gallagher Estate, 15 - 17 June 2007. Exhibitors already on board for 2007 include the prestigious French label, Groupe Castel and popular local estates including Audacia, Longridge, Grangehurst, Zidela, Annandale, Avontuur, Waverley Hills, Nuy and Willow Creek. The Distell Group will also participate in the Jo'burg Wine Show, exhibiting the range of fine brandies from its portfolio.

Organisers of the Jo'burg Wine Show continue to review the feedback received from last years show to make sure that the needs of both exhibitors and visitors are accommodated in the 2007 event.

The creative freedom afforded to exhibitors amid an interactive, fun and educational platform, means that the Jo'burg Wine Show provides a platform to drive sales and grow brand recognition. This, combined with the ability to sell product at the show, means that exhibitors can once again expect to help cover the costs of participating at the show while securing valuable exposure to the important Gauteng market.

Meanwhile, consumers can once again look forward to an informative and enjoyable wine experience, packed with content and a thoroughly enjoyable line-up of events. Wine lovers can expect to uncover some special gems and new releases and will once again be able to stock up their private cellars and have their orders delivered to their door.
