Golf Digest is South Africa's top golfing mag

For the first time since the launch in October 1995 Golf Digest magazine is officially the biggest paid for printed golf medium in South Africa. Golf Digest is ahead of all its competitors with the new Jan - June 05 ABC (25 167).

It has taken a decade for this monthly golfing classic to get where they are today but editor, Stuart McLean claims that it was worth the wait. "Golf Digest has been a consistently entertaining and informative read since our launch 10 years ago, and the quality of the magazine has got notably better every year since. We have always been a magazine prepared to highlight the important issues. We introduced the first ranking of the Top 100 Courses in South Africa, we rank the best amateurs, and we have an annual Hot List of golf equipment. Our improved design look, top-class instruction from the best players and teachers in the world, relevant editorial features, has taken us to a new high in terms of circulation growth this year, proof that commitment to uniquely informative editorial content for a discerning audience is key to sustainable, paid for circulation."

Golf Digest has also had the opportunity in working closely with world-class contributors namely, Tiger Woods and Ernie Els who have also recently had their long term contracts as exclusive playing editors extended. The synergy between these golfing greats and this aspirational magazine is evident when Ernie Els comments, ''Golf Digest has fuelled my passion for golf for years so I am immensely proud to be part of our very own South African edition.''

This gives Golf Digest more than one reason to celebrate their 10-year birthday this year. To commemorate 10 years of golfing success Golf Digest will be issuing a special October birthday edition that will be available in store from 19 September 2005.

Golf Digest has always provided their discerning golfers who seek to be more accomplished players with unique, practical information on instruction, travel and equipment and in doing so, have continued with their successful formula on How to play, What to play, Where to play.
