A 2001 vintage signature Méthode Cap Classique in a stylish dark bottle, the Scintilla is a blend of 75% Chardonnay and 25% Pinot noir. It is a luxuriously smooth, well-balanced and delicate wine that has a golden hue and dry, soft and elegant palate. The wine was matured for eight years on the lees and displays a rich fruitiness on the nose with integrated baked bread flavours.
It retails at around R128 a bottle.
The other is its first off-dry Méthode Cap Classique Rosé - La Vallée Rosé, with a subtle hint of sweetness to be enjoyed at any time of the day with a wide variety of seafood and poultry dishes. Made predominantly of Pinot noir grapes, it was matured for 12 months on the lees to develop light yeasty and powerful fruit flavours.
