SA through the lens

The Guy Stubbs photographic library has its official launch set for 28 February, when it will make over 65 000 images with a distinctly SA look and feel available to image buyers across the world.

Stubbs says one of the most common queries from South African image buyers seems to be for images that look South African: "The image buying market in South Africa are tired of only being offered Northern hemisphere stereotypical images. Now they have access to images with a fresh look from home."

On the invitation to the launch, for example, is the typical picture of Table Mountain from Blouberg Strand, but this time with two 'bergies' in the foreground: "This not only shows Cape Town's beauty, but also the people that make Cape Town what it is, a city with great character. This much more realistic type of photography is becoming more and more popular and photo buyers the world over are hungry for this unique style."

Stubbs can be contacted on +27-12-667-3939 or visit www.guystubbs.co.za for more information.
