TBWA\Fusion realigns with mother brand

TBWA\Fusion will be realigning with the corporate identity of the TBWA\ group in South Africa, adopting the TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris name with immediate effect, it was announced yesterday, Monday, 3 December 2007.

TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris Cape Town and Tequila\Cape Town joined forces to establish TBWA\Fusion in 2003. The venture was a global first for the TBWA\ worldwide group as a synthesis of above- and below-the-line disciplines.

“By fusing different agencies under one umbrella we effectively removed the territorial boundary between above- and below-the-line advertising in an effort to deliver more holistic brand management and marketing services to clients,” says MD Nicky Swartz.

“These days an integrated approach is a given. The move back to TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris Cape Town forms part of our alignment strategy, bringing Cape Town closer to the Johannesburg and Durban offices, thereby streamlining the entire network,” she explains.

The Cape Town office has had a successful year in terms of new business wins – adding Femina to its Media24 showcase, which brings the number of titles it is working on to six. Bankmed is another new client, as well as Distell, which it shares with Joburg. Other existing clients include Sea Harvest, Cadiz, Medi-Clinic and Adidas.
