Research shows Nigeria's Gen X more active online
A recent study by premium mobile advertising network, Twinpine Networks on 22,000 respondents, has revealed that Nigeria's Generation X (53-33 years) is more active online than Generation Y (32-19 years), reports Ventures Africa.

According to the research, Generation X respondents "frequently use the internet for research, news on current affairs, lifestyle, entertainment and sports and online shopping". Generation Y respondents use the internet "mostly for social media interaction and Instant Messaging".
Says Eniola Moronfolu, Research Lead at Twinpine: "This knowledge is an eye-opener and shows how trends in internet usage are taking shape among consumers. This also means that marketing efforts can be more effectively targeted to reach the right demographics."
