Already signed up to exhibit is Serendipity Worldwide Group, which specialises in corporate, leisure and incentive travel worldwide. Its aim is to perfect the art of travel by managing and exceeding the expectations of its clients through creativity, commitment and customer care.

"Serendipity has been involved in co-coordinating a number of school cricket tournaments to India over the years. We have also handled incentive group to Premier League Football matches in the UK. One of the biggest events that we were involved in here in South Africa was the IPL in 2009, where we managed the travel and logistics for the Deccan Charges and the Chennai Super Kings. Serendipity is looking forward to applying its expertise to more events here in South Africa and we are therefore looking forward to the contacts we will make at SETE 2014," said Dinesh Naidoo, CEO of Serendipity.

Another exhibitor looking to make lucrative business deals is the Indaba Hotel Conference Centre & Spa, which boasts 260 bedrooms, 24 conference rooms, two restaurants, the Mowana Spa and a host of other excellent facilities.

A good investment

"This is the second year that we will attend the Sports and Events Tourism Exchange. It has been a good investment for the Indaba Hotel, Conference Centre and Spa. Last year's event generated a lot of interest and we have since been in touch with most and have already quoted on two big sports events for 2015 and 2016. This year we will again be looking for new business and we already have a good number of appointments booked in the calendar. Indaba Hotel, Conference Centre and Spa is very well versed in hosting large events and we are looking forward to continuing to forge relationships and network with the right people at SETE 2014," commented Sharon Hunink, Sales and Marketing Manager.

Returning for another year is the South African Gymnastics Federation (SAGF). Having recently hosted the 12th African Gymnastics Championships in Tshwane, SAGF aims to bid for and host more international gymnastics events and will be promoting the federation and its activities. SAGF's goal is to grow the support base of gymnastics in South Africa, as the current image of gymnastics in the South African sports media environment is that of a minor sport.
