Soccer, sale fever at Burchmore's

In order to up sales during the World Cup season all three branches of Burchmore's in Sandton, Cape Town and Durban will screen all the games live. "So whether our customers are buying on auction or shopping for a car on our sales floor, they won't miss the action," says Darryl Jacobson, MD of the group. The branches are flying the flags of the competing nations and all staff members have been issued with football jerseys, which they wear on Football Fridays.

"However, we acknowledge that 'football fever' may impact negatively on both new and used car sales, therefore we have planned a number of activities - such as a huge sale - to counteract this trend," he adds.

The sale commences at all three branches on Friday 4 June 2010 and will run throughout the month of June. During the sale, the branches will be open on weekdays from 8.30am - 6pm, Saturdays, from 8.30am - 3pm and Sundays from 10am - 1pm.
