In-house Attorney: Contract Law (Compliance Officer) temporary position

Minimum requirements:

• LLB
• Admitted attorney with current credentials
• At least five years experience in contract law
• At least 70% for English in Matric (first language), or 80% (second language)
• Fully computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Word

• Experience in IT law
• Five years additional or concurrent experience in general law

Established IT Services company seeks an admitted Attorney for a 3-month temporary appointment to draft, review, and codify various legal contracts and templates. This will include ensuring that our contracts with clients take into account our contracts with our suppliers. Further, the position will entail ensuring that we are compliant with the legislation and statutory obligations in our business.

The employee will be required to work from the company's office in Woodmead, Johannesburg for at least the first month of employment, whereafter a hybrid / remote working arrangement *may* be considered. It is, however, the employer's preference that the employee works full time at the company's offices.

Should the employee's performance be exemplary and their duties be required, the employment arrangement may extend past the 3-month temporary contract envisaged.
