As someone who completed a PhD while working, I’ve seen how continuing education not only enhances professional skills but also promotes personal growth. Lifelong learning is more than just acquiring new knowledge, it’s about embracing different perspectives, overcoming limitations, and evolving in ways that influence both your career and personal life.

Dr Rowen Govender is the Academic Head and Programme Co-ordinator for the Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management and the Higher Certificate in Healthcare Services Management at Regent Business School. He holds a PhD in Clinical Medicine from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where he also earned his Master's in Medical Science (Cum Laude) and Honours in Medical Microbiology (Summa Cum Laude). Dr Govender serves as the Chairperson of the Teaching, Learning, and Strategy Committee and is an executive member of the editorial board for the International Journal of Management Perspectives (IJMP). His expertise in healthcare management, teaching, and research has led to his significant contributions to curriculum development, assessments, and healthcare projects at Regent Business School.
