Ascendis Health has acquired Nimue Skin Technology and Scientific Sports Nutrition (SSN) for R120 million, bringing its total investments to R700 million over the past year. [Helen Dodson] A Yale-led team of researchers has identified the protein that controls inflammation and the urge to itch in people who suffer from contact dermatitis due to exposure to poison ivy and other allergens. Moderate coffee drinking prevents Type 2 diabetes, cancer
A new report has revealed that studies have linked moderate coffee drinking, three or four cups a day, with a reduction in the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, basal cell carcinoma (the most common skin cancer), prostate cancer, oral cancer and breast cancer recurrence.
