Zandile Bekwa
I am a recent BA graduate from Amherst College, I majored in Theatre & Dance and Political Science and am looking to work within the performing arts and theatre. I am currently interested in puppetry and the exploration of the ability of the arts to change society.
I am recent graduate from Amherst College, one of the top 3 ranked colleges in the U.S.A. I was privileged to have received the Nelson Mandela Scholarship at Amherst College. I double majored in Theatre & Dance and Political Science. I have an interest in the theatre and arts and have been in involved in almost all aspects of production. I have interests and experiences in puppetry, set design, costume design and general theatre management. I have an interest in the arts and their ability to change society in a positive way. With this interest- I have embraced a diversity of experiences as an undergraduate, studying in Senegal as well as taking a semester at the University of Cape Town. I have worked and volunteered in a variety of fields; within and outside the arts- interning at an educational NGO for example. With all these experiences- I believe that I would make a great young employee as I am confident that the education and experience I have have given me the skills, knowledge and creativity to do almost anything. Even so I am willing and eager to learn more about the arts and their role within society.
