I graduated with a BCIS Degree (Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences), specialising in Game Design and Development at Vega School Johannesburg. During my studies I learned a number of skills including computer programming, 2D and 3D art/animation as well as game design theory. I am also a very keen reader and writer and am passionate about both language and communication. Aside from my technical design skills acquired during university I also worked on many long-form research projects during which I was able to make use of my English and editing abilities.

My personal area of interest revolves around 3D art and animation, as well as visual storytelling and design in general. While my formal experience is mostly central to 3D design and team leadership in 3D production, I do also have a strong skillset in general multimedia production; including 2D animation, video production, graphic design, UI/UX and game design/development, copywriting and fluency in the Adobe Creative Suite. I have a good eye for art direction and am a passionate creative at heart with a desire to learn new workflows and methodologies in this vast field.

Additionally, since I studied at a brand school I was also taught Brand and Marketing for the course of my degree, during which I worked on a number of conceptual brand and marketing projects, including brand activations. I feel this made my tertiary education more well-rounded and allowed me to work on my copywriting skills and provided me with the ability to run a PC component sales business for a number of months.

I have worked with a creative firm as well as in the manufacturing sector and now as a Team Lead at an animation studio.

I work well under-pressure, am a strong critical thinker, analyst, leader and a team-player. I feel my more technical qualification and background makes me a unique candidate for any creative team and provides me with a more holistic approach to the entire work pipeline.
