The "bigger picture" which I came to understand through my "balanced" experience as engineer, manager and business improvement leader is that there are 5x basic building blocks to focus on with general supporting routines and tools.

3. Deviation Management Basics [The right basic deviation management "things" to minimise losses and cost].
4. Maintenance Basics [The right basic maintenance "things" to minimise losses and cost].
5. Improvement Basics [The right basic improvement "things" to stay in business].
6. Supporting Routines and Tools [Used in any of the 5x basic building blocks].
I am confident that I can train and coach on these in any area with guaranteed improvements and sustainability. I have an extensive knowledge library to use in creating a customised training and coaching programme with supporting management infrastructure.

I have a Metallurgical Engineering degree [Pretoria University], Certificates for Management Advanced Programme [WITS University]; Organisational Behaviour [Heriot-Watt University]; 6-Sigma Blackbelt Theory [BMG]; Lean [BMG]; World-Class-Manufacturing (WCM) Instructor & 24 weeks of active coaching over 10 years [ArcelorMittal Chief Technical Office]; Senior Change Leader [ArcelorMittal Progress Academy]; Future Leader Programme [Duke university]; Continuous Improvement [Partners in Performance(PiP)]. I also attended 39 other training courses and 17 seminars where I was a speaker at four of them.
I was part of facilitation teams for various facilitated turnaround / restructuring projects; achieved WCM Bronze and Silver status in record times; received Operational Excellence award for ArcelorMittal. Specific systems I developed was an idea management system; KPI management system, management systems to ensure a proper PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle which included Outlook master calendars and a SharePoint navigation platform to bring everything together for easier optimisation.
